The purpose of the study was to determine the relationship between family disintegration and the school performance of primary level students of a Private Educational Institution, Iquitos 2022. Quantitative, descriptive correlational research, population made up of 126 students, 126 primary level students from a Private Educational Institution, Iquitos-Peru, nonprobabilistic sampling was used for convenience, with the sample being 80 students in the city of Iquitos. Survey and observational technique, Questionnaire instrument to measure family disintegration: divorce or separation and the Questionnaire to measure family disintegration. The information was processed by the SPSS v25 statistical package, with the results of Family Disintegration and school performance of primary level students, Private Educational Institution, Iquitos 2022, a statistically significant relationship (p= 0.012) was found between family disintegration and academic performance of primary school students in a private educational institution. Likewise, they were found in the sociodemographics of the parents of primary school students; 63.5% of mothers were between 30 and 39 years old and 48.4% fathers were between 40 and 49 years old; Next, 46.0% of mothers and 61.9% of fathers work in Iquitos; Regarding the level of education, 31.7% of the mothers and 34.1% of the fathers had technical studies. Conclusions: A statistically significant relationship was found (p= 0.012) between family disintegration and the academic performance of primary school students in a private educational institution.
