State Anxiety is considered as a transitory emotional state or condition of the human organism, characterized by subjective, conscious feelings of tension and apprehension, as well as hyperactivity of the autonomic system, here anxiety states can vary in intensity and fluctuate over time. The mother's anxiety affects the development of the fetus, therefore this descriptive quantitative research aimed to identify the level of state anxiety presented by primiparous women who attend a health center in the city of Iquitos - 2020. The sample was of 30 primiparous women who met the eligibility criteria. The state anxiety inventory was applied. The data were processed in the SPSS statistical program. The results reveal that the primiparous women, 56.7% of them present a level of state anxiety above the average, followed by 13.3%, with average state anxiety. Regarding psychological factors, 66.7% of primiparous women have family support, while 33.3% lack such support. In emotional dependence, 100.0% of adolescent primiparous women and 74.1% of adult primiparous women are emotionally dependent on their partners, while 25.9% of adult primiparous women seem not to be emotionally dependent on their partners. Couples In a relationship with a couple, 66.7% of adolescent and adult primiparous women have a relationship with their partners and 33.3% do not have a relationship with their partners. These results reveal the need to implement psychological interventions to reduce anxiety in pregnant adolescents and adults.
