Regarding our research topic, evaluation of mechanical properties of clay bricks produced Industrially or by hand in the city of Tarapoto, it has several semi-industrial production plants, none of the industrial type and many artisanal production factories, precisely the bricks produced by the latter are more widely accepted, mainly due to their lower cost and apparent similarity to the industrialized units to come from Lima. The artisanal production is the procedure used empirically since the activities are manual and generate risks for the workers, who must carry out all the necessary tasks for the transformation of the raw materials into product and the artisanal manufacturing processes is by extraction, mixing, molding. drying, cooking, cooling, classification and dispatch, and for the Industrial process it is by extraction, molding, mixing and molding, drying, cooking, storage and dispatch. From which it is concluded that it is observed that the main disadvantages of artisanal production are irregular cooking (dissolve in a relatively short time), and the presence of cracks due to drying contraction. Both defects have a notable influence on its resistance to external loads and durability against inclement weather.
