Through this study, we propose the manufacturing of bricks using construction plastering waste and verifying their characteristics against Standard E-070 Masonry. Additionally, we aim to develop manufacturing procedures for bricks using construction plastering waste. Compliance with standards NTP 399.613 and 399.604 was verified for dimensional variation (Length, Width, Height (H)), warpage, absorption, and compressive strength. The following results were obtained from the conducted studies: Dimensional variation in bricks: Length (L) = -3.43%, Width (A) = +0.56%, and Height (H) = +3.36%; for Plastering Waste Bricks: L = -3.52%, A = +2.50%, and H = +3.29%. Warpage for both types of bricks reached 0.00 mm in concavity and convexity. Absorption for Plastering Waste Bricks was 14.60%, and 13.87% for Plastering Waste Bricks. Lastly, compressive strength for bricks reached 84 kg/cm2 for Standard Bricks and 203 kg/cm2 for Plastering Waste Bricks. It can be affirmed that the technical specifications of Standard E-070 were met, and it was concluded that mortar bricks with plastering waste showed improvements in all physical-mechanical properties. It is recommended to conduct further studies on recycling with construction waste materials to establish new design parameters, providing environmentally friendly alternatives to the community and considering the results of this study by utilizing local materials.
