This research work seeks to determine the level of self-esteem of students from 3rd to 4th year secondary level of the Primary Secondary Educational Institution No. 61004 "Juan Pablo II" during the month of November 2019. It is of a quantitative descriptive type, with a design Simple descriptive nonexperimental, with a convenience sampling in which the Coopersmith selfesteem inventory school version was used as a measurement instrument. The population consisted of 336 students establishing a sample of 105. In the standardized tests, the results were obtained that the adolescents present: In General Self-esteem 55.2% located in Average Self-esteem, while in High Selfesteem they reached 30, 5% and only 14.3% in Low Self-Esteem. Deepening more in the Areas of Self, Social peers, Home, parents and school, we find that, with the exception of Self, whose highest percentage is in Average Selfesteem, the others are in High Self-esteem, although by a small margin, being, the area of Social pairs the one that fulfills a great margin in relation to the other levels. Regarding the self-esteem variable and its correlation with grade and section, shift, age and sex, the most significant result is that women in the Home, Parents and School area obtain a higher percentage in Low Self-Esteem and Average Self-Esteem respectively, Unlike men who obtain High Self-Esteem, in both areas.
