Niveles de autoestima en estudiantes del 3ro y 4to de secundaria de una Institución Educativa de la ciudad de Iquitos, período julio 2019

Abstract

El presente trabajo de investigación busca determinar el nivel de autoestima de los estudiantes de 3ro a 4to año nivel secundaria de la Institución Educativa Primario Secundario Nº 61004 “Juan Pablo II” durante el mes de noviembre 2019. Es de tipo cuantitativo descriptivo, con un diseño no experimental descriptivo simple, con un muestreo por conveniencia en el cual se utilizó como instrumento de medición el inventario de autoestima de Coopersmith versión escolar. La población estuvo conformada por 336 estudiantes estableciéndose una muestra de 105. En las pruebas estandarizadas, se obtuvieron como resultados, que los adolescentes presentan: En Autoestima General un 55,2% ubicado en Autoestima promedio, mientras que en Autoestima Alta alcanzaron el 30,5% y sólo el 14,3% en Autoestima Baja. Profundizando más en las Áreas de Si mismo, Social pares, Hogar padres y escuela encontramos, que con excepción de Si mismo cuyo mayor porcentaje se encuentra en Autoestima Promedio, los demás se hallan en Autoestima Alta, aunque por poco margen, siendo, el área de Social pares el que cumple con un gran margen en relación a los otros niveles. Con respecto a la variable autoestima y su correlación con el grado y sección, turno, edad y sexo, el resultado más significativo, los encontramos en que las mujeres en el área Hogar padres y Escuela obtienen mayor porcentaje en Autoestima Baja y Autoestima Promedio respectivamente, a diferencia de los varones que obtienen Autoestima Alta, en ambas áreas.

This research work seeks to determine the level of self-esteem of students from 3rd to 4th year secondary level of the Primary Secondary Educational Institution No. 61004 "Juan Pablo II" during the month of November 2019. It is of a quantitative descriptive type, with a design Simple descriptive nonexperimental, with a convenience sampling in which the Coopersmith selfesteem inventory school version was used as a measurement instrument. The population consisted of 336 students establishing a sample of 105. In the standardized tests, the results were obtained that the adolescents present: In General Self-esteem 55.2% located in Average Self-esteem, while in High Selfesteem they reached 30, 5% and only 14.3% in Low Self-Esteem. Deepening more in the Areas of Self, Social peers, Home, parents and school, we find that, with the exception of Self, whose highest percentage is in Average Selfesteem, the others are in High Self-esteem, although by a small margin, being, the area of Social pairs the one that fulfills a great margin in relation to the other levels. Regarding the self-esteem variable and its correlation with grade and section, shift, age and sex, the most significant result is that women in the Home, Parents and School area obtain a higher percentage in Low Self-Esteem and Average Self-Esteem respectively, Unlike men who obtain High Self-Esteem, in both areas.
