Introduction: Currently, adolescents have a high rate of unplanned pregnancy, one of the causes being ignorance and non-use of an emergency contraceptive method. Objective: To determine the knowledge of emergency oral contraception in adolescents between 17 and 19 years of age in an AAHH in the city of Iquitos. 2020. Methodology: The study is of a quantitative type of descriptive, cross-sectional, retrospective, correlational design, surveying 93 female adolescents between 17 and 19 years of age, using a questionnaire of questions about emergency contraception. Results: It was found that 36.6% of the adolescents between 17 to 19 years surveyed have adequate knowledge about emergency oral contraception, which was influenced by the older age of the adolescent (p = 0.011); the receipt of information on emergency oral contraception (p = 0.002), the presence of sexual activity (p = 0.015), the pregnancy history (p = 0.045), and the use of hormonal contraceptives (p = 0.044). Conclusion: Adolescents between 17 and 19 years old from an AAHH in the city of Iquitos do not have an adequate level of knowledge about emergency oral contraception.
