The purpose of the study was to identify the knowledge and attitudes about blood donation in the Medical Technology students of the Scientific University of Peru - Year 2019. The research was descriptive, a sample consisting of 54 incoming students of Medical Technology was obtained, which included two schools: Clinical Laboratory and Physical Therapy. The students were evaluated regarding the general knowledge they possess regarding blood donation and out of a total of 54 (100%) students, 18% (10) had poor knowledge, 15% (8) had a regular knowledge, 52% (28) had good knowledge and 15% (8) had very good knowledge, in terms of attitudes the students of a total of 54 (100%) students, 37% (20) they had an unacceptable attitude, 63% (34) had an unacceptable attitude. Among the factors that prevent donating blood are the low information they receive on this subject. In conclusion, although almost a third of the students have shown to have basic knowledge about blood donation, there are misconceptions in the population and that there are still many taboos and myths that the student probably does not want to perform the voluntary act of donating blood. for those reasons.
