This study evaluates three waterproofing methods in concrete pools in Lima: cementitious coating, crystallization and epoxy resin, considering the particular humidity conditions of the city. ASTM C1585 was used to measure capillary absorption of samples treated with each method. The results show that epoxy resin provides the greatest reduction in water absorption, suggesting better performance in humid environments. However, its high cost could limit its applicability. Crystallization and Cementitious coating, although less effective in comparison, present more affordable costs, with crystallization showing moderately good performance. This analysis highlights the need to balance effectiveness and cost in the selection of waterproofing methods in high humidity areas such as Lima.
