The use of information and communication technologies by the entire educational community, teachers experts, students, administrators, and others, is currently a normalized fact. In this sense, in early childhood education, the usefulness and application of ICT for the development of the teaching-learning process has generated different forms or ways of thinking, even more so teachers. For this reason, this paper aims to reveal the main perceptions of teachers regarding teaching environments in virtuality. The applied methodology is of a qualitative approach due to the fact that they are non-quantifiable data (Nóblega et al., 2019). In addition, the study has an interpretive paradigm as it seeks to analyse the interviewee's own mental processes of reality and context (Ricoy, 2006). There were six interviewees with more than six years of experience and between 30 and 40 years of age. An interview guide was applied with sixteen open questions grouped into four dimensions, Virtual teaching environments, Technology in early childhood education, Technological pedagogical preparation of the early childhood education teacher and Hybrid teaching in early childhood education, it is worth mentioning that there were four validators for the instrument. The results found in terms of perceptions is that early childhood education teachers do not have sufficient academic training in technologies for their own management and in the design of learning sessions, in addition, they synthesize that virtual teaching environments must be with all the resources, tools and infrastructure to achieve the goals. Likewise, teachers have a basic notion in the hybrid learning model and enable its application for educational improvement in quality and contextualization. It is concluded that virtual learning environments are part of the new educational regulations as they are part of the student's routine context. For this reason, leaving ICT aside can be of high risk and setback in the student's learning.
