This research paper proposes the connection of HVDC infrastructure in part of the National Interconnected Electric System, to improve the voltage levels in the bars that do not comply with the Technical Standard for the Quality of Electrical Services (NTCSE). Currently, a large part of the SEIN transmission bars fail to comply with the regulations, causing problems of undervoltage and overvoltage to users, and having to regulate their percentage of voltage variation with compensation for reactive energy. That is why, it proposes the connection of HVDC infrastructure because it allows the transmission of large powers and high voltages, with lower losses of electrical energy than the alternating current transmission systems and with greater stability. For this, a power flow analysis of the SEIN is performed in the DIgSILENT Power Factory Demo software, obtaining the bars with the highest percentage of variation that the regulations include, and applying in the section the connection of the modeled HVDC link.
