The objective of this research is to present the study carried out on the problem of the relationship between transformational leadership and work commitment in a stratified sample made up of 123 teachers from four educational institutions in the district of Ate. The study was done with quantitative methodology, it is classified as basic type with correlational level and cross-sectional design. Data were collected with the administration of the Leadership Practices Inventory and the ISA Engagement Scale, whose characteristics of content validity and reliability were corroborated with Aiken's v coefficient, and Cronbach's alpha. The data collected were analyzed descriptively and inferentially using the Stanon scale and Pearson's correlation coefficient, finding the following findings: transformational leadership showed a positive and moderate covariance with the work commitment of the surveyed teachers. It was also observed that between the core of transformational leadership, that is, the dimensions of modeling the path and inspiring a shared vision, and work commitment, there was also a covariance with the same degree of intensity and identical direction as that found between the variables studied in the teaching staff of the selected educational institutions of Vitarte. The findings were significant at a probability level of p<0.05.
