The objective of this research work is to demonstrate the relationship between stress and teaching performance in two private institutions in the Ate District. The research method was essentially quantitative, using a cross-sectional correlational design and a deductive hypothesis approach. Its census sample was composed of 50 secondary school teachers. The instruments used were: the Cohen and Williamson Stress Questionnaire of 1998 (adapted by Guzmán-Yacamán and Reyes-Bossio) and the Enciso Good Teacher Performance Framework Questionnaire of 2014. The results show that stress and teaching performance have an average positive correlation level of 0.380 points. Therefore, our stress variable is significantly related to teaching performance. Regarding the stress dimension, the results showed a direct relationship between eustress and teaching performance; however, distress is not related to the study carried out, that is, it had no impact on the teaching performance of a specific group of people.
