Masonry walls in multi-family buildings in Lima face challenges of resistance and durability due to environmental conditions and structural loads, for this reason, it is proposed to evaluate the mechanical and physical properties of concrete blocks by adding microfibers to improve the behavior in masonry walls of multi-family buildings in Lima, Metropolitan 2024, using microfibers to reinforce concrete blocks, laboratory tests of block compression, piles and diagonal compression of walls were carried out, as well as physical tests, water absorption, using ASTM and NTP regulations to guarantee the validity of the results, using proportions of 0kg, 1kg, 2kg and 3kg of microfibers, proper curing of the samples and the application of controlled loads during the tests until the failure of the blocks, as a result, the physical properties show a slight dimensional variation, the length remains around 40.05 cm, width at 15.03 cm, and height between 19.03 and 19.05 cm, the absorption decreases from 5.52% (MC) to 2.13% with 1 kg/m³ of MF, increasing to 2.41% with 3 kg/m³, mechanical properties such as compressive strength goes from 89.93 kg/cm² (MC) to 95.97 kg/cm² with 1 kg/m³, and 65.27 kg/cm² with 2 kg/m³. Diagonal compression drops from 6.94 kg/cm² (MC) to 4.62 kg/cm² with 3 kg/m³ of MF, concluding that the incorporation of microfibers not only optimizes the mechanical properties of the blocks, but also offers a viable solution to mitigate resistance problems in masonry walls.
