This study addresses the optimization of emergency lighting maintenance through the application of a Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) system. Aiming to improve the availability and performance of these critical assets, a series of steps are structured, including the assessment of the current situation, the formation of work teams for problem analysis, and the implementation of improvements focused on spare parts management. The research focuses on the application of tools such as Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) and predictive maintenance, which allows for monitoring substitute characteristics like vibration, temperature, and power supply to prevent failures. Additionally, inspection standards are established, and training programs for staff are implemented to ensure the sustainability of the maintenance system. The results from the pilot implementation demonstrate a significant increase in effectiveness: the availability of the luminaires rose from 87% to 95%, performance increased from 73% to 95%, and Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) improved from 60% to 86%.
