The research focused on addressing issues related to non-compliance in the delivery of supply orders, caused by deficiencies in the maintenance of critical equipment, such as the electric arc furnace in the casting area. This equipment experienced a high frequency of failures and an Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) of only 46.48%. Additionally, there were significant unproductive times due to a lack of standardization in activities, along with a disorganized and dirty work environment, which negatively impacted the efficiency and flexibility of the production system. The order non-compliance rate reached 48%, resulting in an economic impact of approximately $200,856, equivalent to 1% of projected revenue. A system of improvements based on Lean Manufacturing was proposed, incorporating three key tools: the Planned Maintenance pillar for the electric arc furnace, standardization of activities in the finishing and molding areas, and the implementation of 5S. The results showed a 70.17% reduction in unproductive time in molding and a 65.41% reduction in finishing. Additionally, 62.34% of objects, parts, scrap, and other materials were relocated and 28.57% were eliminated in the finishing area; in molding, the figures were 56.18% and 43.82%, respectively. Thanks to these improvements, the non-compliance rate was reduced from 48% to 27.2%.
