The main objective of this work is to develop an improvement proposal to reduce delays in the heavy-duty vehicle repair service in an automotive sector company by applying Inventory Management, Slotting, and Cycle Counting. In the first chapter, a detailed analysis of the automotive sector is presented, including a comparative overview with Peruvian state trends, along with the tools and key terms that support the proposed research design. In the second chapter, the current problems of the company are diagnosed, identifying the causes affecting the inefficiency of the vehicle repair process and the logistical challenges. In the third chapter, the proposed tools for improvement are described, along with how their implementation can address the identified problems. Finally, in the fourth chapter, the proposal is validated through the simulation of the expected results, demonstrating the feasibility and positive economic impact of the improvements on the company’s operations. Upon concluding this research work, it is evident that the combined application of these tools achieves the goal of reducing delays in the repair services offered, optimizing spare parts storage management, and improving customer satisfaction.
