The main objective of this research is to address the problem of the availability of the "freezing tunnel" equipment, which is a critical piece of equipment in the hydrobiological production process that directly influences the quality of the final product. To achieve this objective, two key approaches will be applied: Total Productive Maintenance Management (TPM) and the SMED (Single Minute Exchange of Die) methodology. TPM will involve the implementation of the autonomous maintenance pillar for the freezing tunnel. This will include regular inspections, preventive maintenance and the proactive identification and resolution of potential problems. The goal is to reduce unplanned downtime and improve operational efficiency. The SMED methodology will be used to streamline production batch changeovers in the tunnel freezer. By significantly reducing the time required to change between batches, overall process efficiency will be improved and downtime will be minimized. Ultimately, a 14% increase in the availability of the tunnel freezer equipment is sought. This is expected to have a positive impact on product quality, company competitiveness and ultimately customer satisfaction. The research represents a comprehensive effort to optimize equipment operation and contribute to better overall results. Improved freezer tunnel availability will result in more efficient production and higher quality products, which will benefit the company and its customers. The combination of TPM and SMED represents a comprehensive approach to address this challenge and achieve significant results
