The analysis of liquefaction potential in sandy and fine soils in the City of Tumbes focuses on the evaluation of the susceptibility of these soils to liquefaction during seismic events. Using laboratory tests and the standard penetration test (SPT), recognized methodologies are applied, such as those of Seed and Idriss, Seed and Sancio, as well as Tokimatsu and Yoshimi. The investigation is based on data obtained from various SPT tests, which provide information on soil strength and geotechnical characteristics. The results are examined to identify key parameters that influence liquefaction potential, considering factors such as soil density and fines content. The methodological approach includes a comparative analysis of the results obtained through the different methodologies, which allows for a more precise assessment of the liquefaction potential in the area. This research not only seeks to identify liquefiable areas, but also to contribute to the mitigation of risks associated with this phenomenon in future constructions and infrastructures in Tumbes.
