This study presents a proposal to improve delivery compliance in a transnational company dedicated to the manufacturing of equipment and spare parts for the mining industry, with the aim of increasing the level of “OTIF” (On-Time In-Full). Through a thorough analysis of the current situation, process flows, and the time taken for each task, the root causes of delivery issues were identified. As part of the Industrial Engineering approach, the tools “Kanban” and “5S” are implemented, known for their ability to optimize operational efficiency and reduce waste. Kanban, with its focus on visual work management, allows teams to visualize the status of tasks in real-time, facilitating the identification of bottlenecks and improving communication between departments. This not only accelerates workflow but also ensures that resources are utilized more effectively. On the other hand, the “5S” methodology, based on the “PDCA” (Plan, Do, Check, Act) cycle, focuses on the organization and cleanliness of the workplace. By implementing 5S, the goal is to create a safer and more efficient environment, which contributes to error reduction and enhances employee morale. An organized workspace not only facilitates the identification of tools and materials but also promotes a culture of continuous improvement and responsibility among employees. The combination of Kanban and 5S not only addresses immediate delivery compliance issues but also establishes a solid foundation for continuous improvement within the organization. By optimizing processes and fostering a collaborative work environment, it is expected that the company will not only meet but exceed its OTIF objectives, thereby enhancing its competitiveness in the mining sector.
