Logistics is a key factor for the proper functioning of any organization because it connects the supply chain, contributes to its effectiveness and increases competitiveness and profitability, which is why it is important that its processes are observed and optimized. This work studies a logistics operator in Lima, whose central warehouse distributes mass consumption products. The company was not able to reach an optimal level in the number of products planned for dispatch in any of its three lines of products that are perishable, non-perishable and merchandising, with the focus being on its line of perishable products, since its low effectiveness has a greater representation in economic losses. This problem is attributed to two main reasons: unproductive times and, on the other hand, reprocessing. These have been identified and prioritized due to their economic impact. To improve dispatch effectiveness, the PDCA cycle is proposed to reduce unproductive times and reduce reprocessing using the engineering tools Systematic Layout Planning (SLP) and Standard Work. In this sense, a fundamental result evidenced is the increase in effectiveness by 1.99%, favoring the reduction of the economic impact. Finally, the implementation of the proposed techniques under the continuous improvement design allows the fulfillment of the objectives set in the development of this study.
