This project aims to analyze the stability of the slope in the extension of a pulp tailings deposit located in Puno, in order to increase its storage capacity. To do this, the safety factors, the main indicator for the development, were calculated in static and pseudostatic conditions using the Slide software. The research was carried out in accordance with the minimum safety factor criteria established in the Peruvian Standard E.050: Soils and Foundations, which allowed establishing the geotechnical and civil design criteria necessary to propose various alternatives, using static and pseudostatic models in the Slide software. The analysis considered the geotechnical parameters of the structures located in the project area, where the extension of the deposit is made up of Slate Residual Soil, Rocky Basement, Pulp Tailings and Compacted Common Fill. In addition, the stability analysis covered two critical sections of the reservoir, named Section A and Section B. As a result, it is concluded that the re-growth design maintains stability, with an upstream slope of 1.25H:1V and a downstream slope of 1.5H:1V, supported by the minimum safety factors obtained of 1.90 under static conditions and 1.42 under pseudo-static conditions. Additionally, an increase in storage capacity of approximately 98,260 m³ was achieved
