The work focuses on the implementation of Lean Manufacturing in the processes of a metalworking company that designs and produces stainless steel equipment for the hospitality, restaurant, and dealership sectors. In Chapter I, the global and internal situation of the sector is analyzed, and steel production since 2021 is described. Additionally, the theoretical framework is presented, including the fundamentals of Lean Manufacturing and the tools to be used to solve production problems. Chapter II addresses the characteristics of the company and its key products. A high rate of non-conforming products (NCP) is identified as the main problem, which is analyzed to discover its root causes. Three causes within the production process are found that need to be addressed to improve productivity. The economic impact is also evaluated, and indicators are compared with a current technical gap. In Chapter III, the identified causes are related to their solutions. Improvement proposals based on Lean are detailed, and changes in welding, bending, and cutting processes—which are the main contributors to the high NCP rate—are outlined. Current indicators and those expected after implementation are presented, along with the budget required to achieve the objectives. Finally, in Chapter IV, the results are validated through statistical data, showing improvements in service level, productivity, production times, and economic impact.
