This professional work focuses on carrying out the design of temporary post-tensioned anchors for the support of slopes in the basement excavation process of a multi-family building in Lince-Lima. To carry out this proposal, information from a project provided by an external client was collected. In addition, the complete procedure of the FHWA methodology to find the lengths of the anchors, amount of steel and strands is presented. A comparison was made with the safety factor of the initial design of anchors proposed by the client along with pertinent observations. An external analysis of the static and pseudostatic slope stability with respect to the anchors was also carried out using the SLIDE software. The objective of this work is to demonstrate that the application of the FHWA method in the design of post-tensioned anchors provides an optimal, safe and more economical design. Finally, said design is validated with the SLIDE software.
