The objective of this research work was to establish the relationship that exists between environmental education and solid waste management in the CETPRO Micaela Bastidas of the District of San Juan de Lurigancho, referring to the educational and awareness efforts that seek to increase awareness and people's understanding of environmental issues. It was necessary to cultivate in the students care and consideration for the environment, being a decisive attitude to guarantee the sustainability and well-being of the planet and future generations; however, it was also necessary to raise awareness regarding one of the very important of this, the management of solid waste, forming responsible attitudes through awareness and environmental culture in order to preserve the environment. In this sense, a population was considered which was made up of 52 students from the basic cycle of the Institution's personal Aesthetics career. The census sample consisted of 52 students. This research had a quantitative approach as well as a quasi-experimental type, having a pre-test and post-test, with a longitudinal design. The statistical analysis of the verification of the hypotheses was developed with the use of the Wilcoxon Test. The training program called “Micaela Reutiliza” consisted of 4 sessions related to solid waste management. The training process implemented for the students of the basic cycles of the personal aesthetics career at CETPRO Micaela Bastidas had a positive influence as significant differences were found between the pre-test and the post-test (sig=0.00, < α = 0.05 ).
