The objective of this research work is to reveal the relationship between educational management styles and teacher motivation towards work in four schools. The research had a quantitative approach, was basic, with a correlational method and cross-sectional design. The random and stratified sample consisted of 132 teachers. Data collection was done with the following instruments: the Management Styles Questionnaire and the Work Motivation Scale, corroborated in content validity and reliability with the Aiken validity coefficient and the Cronbach coefficient, respectively. The collected data were processed with the Pearson correlation coefficient (r) parametric test for the evaluation of the general hypothesis and the specific hypotheses. The results showed that educational management styles had a moderate positive association relationship with the work motivation of the teachers surveyed. It was also observed that the coercive, authoritarian and peacesetting style of educational management showed a high to moderate inverse association with the motivation towards the work of the participating teachers. On the other hand, it was found that the democratic, coaching and affiliative style of educational management had a high to moderate positive association with the motivation towards the work of those corresponding. The findings were statistically significant at a probability level of p=0.05.
