The objective of this research work is to determine the relationship between achievement motivation and academic self-efficacy in the algorithms course in students at a private University in Lima. The research approach was quantitative, basic, correlational-cross-sectional design and hypothetical-deductive method. The population was made up of 175 students from the University of San Martín de Porres enrolled in the algorithms course belonging to the third and fourth cycle of the faculties of Computer Science and Systems Engineering, and Industrial Engineering, respectively, in the 2022-II semester. . The instruments applied were the Attributional Achievement Motivation Scale by Manassero and Vázquez, adapted by Durán-Aponte and Pujol (2013), and the Self-Efficacy in Academic Behaviors Scale (EACA), by Chávez, Peinado, Ornelas, and Blanco (2013). , obtaining as results that there is a significant relationship between achievement motivation and academic self-efficacy in the algorithms course in students of a Private University of Lima, with a medium or moderate positive correlation, according to the correlation indices.
