The objective of this research work was to investigate the relationship between time management and academic performance during the pandemic in second-grade high school students of Educational Institution 1124, José Martí, in 2021. A quantitative approach, of a basic type and a non-experimental cross-sectional descriptive correlational design was used. The sample consisted of 55 students and the survey technique was used. To measure time management, a questionnaire called the Time Management Behavior Scale (TMBS) Likert type was used, and for academic performance, grades were recorded in official minutes. The instrument showed a validity of 95% determined by expert judgments, and the reliability, measured with Cronbach's Alpha, was 0.971 for the questionnaire. According to the descriptive results, 40% of the students had inadequate time management, 32.7% adequate, and 27.3% optimal. Regarding academic performance, 10.9% were at the initial level, 5.5% in progress, 69.1% in expected achievement, and 14.5% in outstanding achievement. The analysis of the general hypothesis using the Spearman correlation coefficient (Rho) resulted in a coefficient of 0.405, indicating a direct and moderate positive correlation between academic performance and time management, significant at the 1% level. In addition, the level of significance obtained was less than 0.05, which allowed us to reject the null hypothesis and accept the alternative hypothesis. Therefore, it is concluded that there is a direct and significant relationship between time management and academic performance in the pandemic in second-grade high school students at Educational Institution 1124, José Martí, in 2021.
