The instruments used were the Baron ICE- NA Emotional Intelligence Inventory in children and adolescents adapted to Peru by Ugarriza and Pajares. And the Academic Procrastination Scale, adapted to Peru by Alvares. The focus of the research has been quantitative, so statistical tools and techniques were used for data processing. The research method assumed was deductive, the technique used was surveys and the research design used in the process of carrying out the study is descriptive correlational. Likewise, it is observed that the level of significance is less than the research significance 0.05 (p = 0.000 <0.05), in that sense the null hypothesis is rejected and the alternative hypothesis is accepted, then it is concluded that there is a significant relationship between the Emotional intelligence and academic procrastination of 4th year high school students of the General Prado Educational Institution Bellavista Callao Region 2020.
