The objective of this research was to determine the differences in the emotional impact of COVID-19 on students of the Faculty of Education of a Public University of Madre de Dios, based on gender and cycle of studies. The research approach was quantitative, of a basic type, with a comparative descriptive design. The study sample consisted of 129 male and female students belonging to the Faculty of Education, enrolled in the first and fifth cycles in the academic semester 2021-I of the National Amazonian University of Madre de Dios, Puerto Maldonado. The instrument used was the Emotional Impact Profile of COVID-19 (PIE-COVID 19), whose authors are Manuel García Pérez and Ángela Magaz Lago (2020) from Spain, adapted in Peru by Rodríguez, Aliaga, Quintana and Peña ( 2020). According to the results obtained, the existence of significant differences in the emotional impact of COVID-19 in the study sample was determined, depending on gender and cycle of studies. As well as in the factors of anger, fear, anxiety, stress and depression.
