The objective of this research work was the relationship between emotional competencies and academic stress in master's students. The objective was to determine how emotional competencies are related to academic stress in the virtual environments of master's students at the Enrique Guzmán y Valle National University of Education, 2021. Their methodology had a quantitative, basic type approach, with non-experimental design and correlational level. The population was made up of 150 incoming students from 2021 - I, with the mention of Educational Psychology at the UNE, with non-probabilistic sampling at the convenience of the researcher, so a sample of 50 participants was selected, who were The emotional competencies questionnaire and the SISCO SV-21 second version inventory were applied as instruments for the academic stress variable. The results showed that the variables had a positive correlation of moderate strength with a value R = 0.577, so it was concluded that there was a significant correlation as in the variables of emotional competencies and academic stress in virtual environments. of master's students. With 95% confidence, it was concluded that there is a considerable positive correlation between emotional competencies and academic stress in the virtual environments of master's students at the National University of Education.
