Higher education in Peru is in a stage of changes, as a result of a series of international trends, massification and democratization, increased competition for the recruitment of students, the use of knowledge in production and the labor market. The research carried out is of a descriptive correlational type, with a non- experimental design. The instruments have been validated through expert judgment. The Cronbach's Alpha coefficient indicated a reliability coefficient of 0.885, which is at the very high level, that is, all test items are reliable instruments, since it is at the 95% confidence level = 0,05. There is a significant relationship between study habits and academic performance influences students of the seventh cycle 2017- I of Nursing at the National University of Callao, Cañete headquarters. Therefore, the study habits allow a series of activities that respond to the needs of the students and the labor demand for teaching also allows the teachers to improve the pedagogical practice.
