The objective of the research work was to determine the relationship between the learning styles and academic performance of mathematics of the third grade students of the Fe y Alegría Educational Institution N ° 29, Ventanilla - Callao, 2020. The study was based on a quantitative approach, the type of research was basic, the design was non-experimental because the variables were not manipulated, it was considered cross-sectional. The technique for collecting the inquiry was the survey and the questionnaire-type instrument that were validated through expert judgment, and their reliability was determined through Cronbach's Alpha, a solid reliability was obtained. Likewise, in the expressive part, 47.2% of the third grade students from the Fe y Alegría Educational Institution N ° 29, Ventanilla, revealed that the learning style is at the intermediate level and 51,9% of the Students are placed in the academic performance of mathematics is located in the process level. It was concluded that there is statistically significant correlation between the results, according to the Chi-square statistical test, it is appreciated that there is an association between the application of learning styles and academic performance of mathematics, finding the significance value of 0.000, being less than 0.05 so the alternative hypothesis is accepted.
