In the present investigation the following objective is studied: To determine how cognitive strategies are related through computer technologies with informational skills in students of the faculty of psychology of the National University Federico Villarreal. The study population consisted of 484 students, from which a sample of 215 subjects was drawn, through probability sampling. Likewise, two questionnaire-type instruments were developed to measure the variables of cognitive strategies and informational skills, which were validated by expert judgment and reliability through a pilot test. The results were analyzed at the descriptive level, where they have been used statistical tables and graphs and at the inferential level, non-parametric statistics have been used and, as such, Spearman's Rho has been used at a level of 0.05, since the data do not present a normal distribution. The results indicate that cognitive strategies and informational skills are predominantly expressed at a medium level. Likewise, it is shown that there is a direct, moderate and significant correlation between the variables cognitive strategies and informational skills.
