The present investigation Overvoltage From the shortcomings in the training process of undergraduate students in the Academic Professional School of Engineering Food Industry of the National University of Ancash "Santiago Antunez de Mayolo" of Huaraz, in Learning Processes that guide the development of the subject Teaching General Chemistry I, they manifested in Academic underachievement of nursing students. The methodology used in deductive hypothetical type. The experiment was carried out with 40 students one of the first cycle of the Faculty of Engineering of Food Industries, with experimental design of the United Nations (Control Group and Experimental Group). Control Group Working in traditional and the experimental group did so with the heuristic method based on the use of instruments for data collection, Tales of Como: pretest, posttest, and observational record actitudinal, which determined the Academic Level Degree of acceptance and Method. The results obtained confirm that the Academic Performance Average experimental group in the course of General Chemistry I is significantly mayor with respect to the control group, which is demonstrates the effectiveness of using the heuristic method, hoping that students not only apply in this issue but extend its use to improve performance in other subjects.
