The objective of this research work was to determine the relationship between digital competence and academic performance in fifth grade high school students in the area of English. The research took into account four of the five dimensions proposed by the common European framework, such as information and digital literacy, the creation of digital content, problem solving, and online communication and collaboration. This study adopted a fundamental/descriptive approach with a quantitative approach and correlational design. The population and sample consisted of 35 students who were in fifth grade at Euler School. A questionnaire was applied through a census and a survey once the instrument was validated by a panel of experts for content validity. After the corresponding hypothesis test, it has been concluded that the initial hypothesis was finally found to be true, confirming that digital competence is significantly related to the learning of the English language in fifth grade secondary school students in the English area. of the IEP Euler, Ate district, province of Lima, 2021.
