The objective of this research work is to establish the relationship that exists between Phonological awareness and reading learning in 5-year-old children of Educational Institution No. 539 Virgen de Fátima. UGEL 01. San Juan de Miraflores. The research study had a quantitative approach, with a substantive or basic type of research, descriptive-correlational design and hypothetical-deductive method. The sample was defined through non-probabilistic and intentional sampling, consisting of 24 children. The technique used was the survey and the phonological awareness test and the reading checklist were used as instruments. The statistical data were processed through the SPSS program in its latest version. The conclusions reached are the following: There is a significant relationship between Phonological awareness and reading learning, at a total level and by the dimensions: pre-reading, syllabic and alphabetic, in 5-year-old children of Educational Institution No. 539 Virgin of Fatima. UGEL 01. San Juan de Miraflores.
