The objective of this research work was to determine the relationship between playful materials and the development of mathematical skills in first grade students of the advanced cycle of the CEBA PAEBA VILLA EL SALVADOR of the UGEL 01 San Juan de Miraflores 2022. The research was developed under the quantitative approach; since it allowed us to determine the relationship between both Alternative variables. Methodologically, it was framed in the type of descriptive non-experimental research with a correlational design. For the research, the population consisted of 400 students enrolled in the advanced cycle of the CEBA PAEBA VILLA EL SALVADOR for the 2022 promotional period; Non-probabilistic sampling selects according to criteria, having four sections of advanced 1st grade, with a total of 80 students. Regarding the instrumentation, for the variable "Playful materials" a 20-item questionnaire with a Likert scale "Development of mathematical competence" was used, the mathematics evaluation records were used. The result concluded that there is a positive and significant correlation between recreational materials and the development of mathematical skills, and the correlation has a value of 0.973, calculated using Spearman's Rho.
