The objective of this research work was carried out under the procedures established in the quantitative approach, following the type of substantive research, and established in a non-experimental design with a cross-sectional data collection and finding the correlation between two variables, a non-probabilistic sample of 71 students was established. For data collection, the questionnaire was used as an instrument, which was formulated for each variable, both have validity by expert judgment and a Cronbach's Alpha reliability equal to 0.864 (emotional intelligence) and 0.820 (autonomous learning). In the results at a descriptive level, it was found that 49.3% (35) of the students have regular emotional intelligence, 26.8% (19) satisfactory, 15.5% (11) insufficient and 8.5% (6) excellent. On the other hand, regarding autonomous learning, 49.3% (35) of the students have regular learning, 33.8% (24) satisfactory, 9.9% (7) excellent and, finally, 7.0% (5) insufficient. It was concluded that there is a significant relationship between emotional intelligence and autonomous learning in 6th grade primary school students in the UNE Application Campuses, 2023 (p ˂ 0.05, Spearman's Rho = 0.734, being a high positive correlation).
