The main objective of this research was to determine the relationship between virtual learning environments and metacognitive skills in high school students. Due to the nature of the study, it had a quantitative approach, it was substantive or basic, with a correlational descriptive design and a hypothetical deductive method. The study sample consisted of 50 fifth-year high school students. The technique used was the survey, the instruments that allowed collecting the respective information were: Questionnaire on virtual learning environments and Questionnaire on metacognitive skills. The statistical design implemented was processed through the SPSS statistical package, version 26. The conclusions reached are the following: There is a significant relationship between virtual learning environments and metacognitive skills, at a total level and by dimensions: perceptual skills, introspective skills, control skills, and self-regulation skills in secondary school students from the Educational Institution N ° 3022 José Sabogal. UGEL 02 Rímac.
