The objective of this research work is to demonstrate the effect of the use of Storytelling on the development of narrative creativity, for which the following problem has been formulated: What is the effect of the storytelling program on the development of narrative creativity in 5-year-old children from a Private Educational Institution in Lima? The following objective was set: Demonstrate the effect of the storytelling program on the development of narrative creativity in 5-year-old children of a Private Educational Institution in Lima. The hypothesis was: The storytelling program has a positive effect on the development of narrative creativity in 5-year-old children from a Private Educational Institution in Lima. This research had a Quantitative approach, Applied type, and pre-experimental design with pre-test and post-test applied to a single group. We worked with a sample of 24 five-year-old children. To improve the children's narrative creativity, the sample was subjected to a pre-test, in which the instrument called the Narrative Creativity Checklist was applied, which demonstrated that the students had a low level of narrative creativity. After that, the Storytelling program was applied with the aim of enhancing narrative creativity in the children and, finally, the post test to check the results. In conclusion, after the statistical treatment, it tells us that the storytelling program has a positive effect on the development of narrative creativity in 5-year-old children of a Private Educational Institution in Lima. The significance between the pretest and the posttest being 0.00 (p < .05), which determines that there is a significant difference between both tests, considering an improvement after applying the program.
