This research deals with the relationship between teaching digital competencies and learning. This study can serve as a basis to evolve and build the foundations that allow us to establish and understand the new educational paradigm imposed on us by the “current technological revolution” (Labrador, 2018). Hernández, Orrego & Quiñones (2018) in this regard, point out that the incursion of the use of digital technologies in the educational field has given greater dynamism and interaction to the agents who participate in the educational process at all levels. Allowing the flexibility of its use until achieving the students' ability to adapt to various contexts. To do this, they use instruments for interaction and facilitation of learning and teaching. In the same direction, Grande (2023) points out that students' motivation for learning improves significantly with the use of technological tools since they facilitate access to the exchange and access to information. Which fosters a collaborative attitude and promotes teamwork among students. A fact that has been noted in the educational institution where the research for this thesis was developed. Today, digitalization is shaping 21st century society, with the implementation of virtual teaching implemented in our country due to the COVID 19 pandemic. In this sense, teachers need to adapt to a new demand, therefore, Teaching has an additional objective of helping students develop digital skills to face new challenges that impact the knowledge society. Therefore, teachers must develop digital skills to make rational and safe use of technologies within the information and communication society. Since this requires the support of skills in the management of ICT, as well as basic knowledge in data processing to carry out basic activities such as evaluation, searching for information, being able to filter, classify this information, evaluate its reliability and learn. to prioritize manipulative elements and false information.
