The objective of this research work was to determine the level of relationship that exists between learning styles and academic performance in the English language area, in order to suggest and motivate teachers to use new teaching techniques and strategies that awaken students' interest in learning this language through the development of different pedagogical activities that promote the practice of learning styles and thus improve academic performance in the medium term. Likewise, our general hypothesis was: Learning styles are significantly related to academic performance in the English language area in third-grade high school students at Tarpuy School, Ate, 2021. On the other hand, the methodology corresponds to a quantitative, non-experimental research approach, with a cross-sectional correlational design, and with a population and sample of 38 students. Regarding the instruments used, to measure the first variable, learning styles, a questionnaire was used, while for the second variable, academic performance, the grade record for the year 2021 was used. In conclusion, it was established that there is a significant relationship between learning styles and academic performance in the English language area in third-grade high school students at Tarpuy School, Ate, 2021; where, P < 0.05, Spearman's Rho = 0.689, which represents a high positive correlation.
