The objective of this research work is to demonstrate the benefits of meaningful learning in the English language education procedure. The analysis is quantitatively focused substantive class, description method and correlational model. For the results, a sample of 35 high school students was used. For the acquisition and data processing of the first variable, the survey was used, where it was found that 43% of the students questioned answered as Sometimes, 29% answered Frequently, and 13% as Always, so that the learning variable significant has regular favorable acceptance; and for the obtaining and processing of data of the second variable, the evaluation was used where it was found that the weighted average obtained by the students is 16 points, in accordance with the dimensions evaluated, for which the education of the English language is considered as Good. In the results, it was established that there is a moderate link between significant learning and knowledge of the English language in students of the 5th grade of secondary school of the CEAUNE Enrique Guzmán y Valle, Chosica, 2016. As shown by the verification of the global hypothesis (p valuation or sig Asymptotic (Bilateral) = 0.015 which is less than 0.05) and the exposed images.
