This study analyzes the double disadvantage that women face in the labor market, specifically in the field of informal employment. As supported by the national statistics analyzed in the stylized facts, significant differences are observed in the educational levels achieved, labor participation, income and types of occupation. Women with disabilities are the most disadvantaged, compared to the population without disabilities and to men with disabilities. This research is based on data from the National Household Survey (ENAHO) from 2017 to 2019. The types of disability were grouped into two categories, activities and participation that include from learning to employment and can be limited by difficulties in communication, mobility and learning. As well as in body functions and structures that include the psychological functions of the body and can be affected by vision, hearing and interpersonal relationship problems. The methodological approach proposes the probit and logit models, complemented by the two-stage Heckman method to address selection bias. This analytical strategy seeks to examine how disability and gender influence participation in informal employment, thereby allowing the study's hypothesis to be tested.
