The research has a quantitative approach, non-experimental, cross-sectional and correlational design. The population consisted of 68 mothers of infants aged 6 to 24 months treated at the 10 de Octubre health center, and using a census sample, while the sampling was non-probabilistic. The instrument was a data collection form validated by 3 experts. The results showed that 61.8% (N=42) had mild anemia, 29.4% (N=20) moderate anemia and 8.8% (N=6) severe anemia. It is concluded that there was a significant association (p<0.05) between sociodemographic factors (maternal age, educational level, socioeconomic income), child health factor (history of diarrheal symptoms) and maternal care factor (prenatal check-ups).
