Studies about Blended Learning are approximately thirty years old, suggesting that it is an almost recent term in the scientific literature. In this regard, it has been possible to find a series of studies related to the evolution of the term Blended Learning and its application as a model in educational contexts, mainly university. However, there is little research production regarding the theoretical-pedagogical paradigms that support the convergence of what we know today as Blended Learning, indeed, certain contradictions of researchers about the purposes for which it was introduced in the sector are evidenced educational; Some affirm that its purpose is practical and economic, while others point out that this model guarantees the effectiveness of the teaching-learning processes. That is why, in order to fill this gap, the collection, systematization and analysis of four primary sources have been carried out in order to know which are the paradigms that support the educational nature of the Blended Learning model and, at the same time , identify the trends that lie in the theoretical frameworks of the corpus sources to raise the discussion of the results and reflect on them.
