The purpose of this study is to determine the relationship between Winnie Dunn's sensory profile and academic performance in beginning-level students. The study was carried out at EI No. 325, located in Nuevo Chimbote, where 50 children between the ages of 3 and 6 were selected. For the study population, the Winnie Dunn sensory profile test was used and academic performance was analyzed through the averages of the students. As results, it was established that there is a significant correlation between the sensory processing dimension and academic performance, since 100% of the students who presented academic performance in process have the probable difference profile. In addition, there is a correlation in that the modulation dimension is associated with academic performance, since 50% of the students who have academic performance in process presented a probable difference and, finally, it was evidenced that the dimension of behavioral reactions and behavior was associated with academic performance, because 50% of the students who have academic performance in progress are within the profile of probable difference. Finally, it was found that 80% of the students who had academic performance in progress were within the sensory profile of probable difference; Therefore, it is concluded that the lower the level of academic performance, the greater the probability that the students present sensory dysfunction. Noting that there is indeed a correlation between the sensory profile and academic performance, which has been statistically proven.
