Neuromuscular training is increasingly integrated into new pedagogical methodologies; as well as new methods of sports training. However, its effects at the national level are little known. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of a neuromuscular training program in 11 and 12-year-old children from a National Elementary School. The training program of 5 weeks had a frequency of 3 times per week, 30 minutes each session with the purpose of improving the postural balance. The study was quasi-experimental, the control and experimental group had 20 children (boys and girls) respectively. Two evaluations were applied before and after the training. For the measurement of the dynamic postural balance, the Star Excursion Balance Test (SEBT) was carried out and for the measurement of the static postural balance the Single Leg Stance was carried out, in a baropodometric platform developed for the purposes of our research. The platform used 3 microprocessors and the processing used the principle of Center of Pressure (COP), for the analysis of results of static postural balance. The results revealed effects of improvement in all the distances of the Star Excursion Balance Test, as well as in the Single Leg Stance, which are related to the improvement of the postural balance at static and dynamic level.
