The present investigation that aims to analyze the implicit theories of the evaluation of the learning of six teachers (primary level, one for each grade). The methodology used an interpretive paradigm, qualitative approach, exploratory scope, being cross-sectional applied research. The study of multiple cases was used as a qualitative method supported by the theoretical method of analysis-synthesis. To collect the information, the interview, observation and documentary analysis were used. The results found show that primary school teachers have a pedagogical discourse focused on constructive theory, however, their evaluative practice has a predominance with an emphasis on interpretive theory. Likewise, the criteria used when evaluating are based on actions or actions to describe the learning achievements of students and then average and certify. On the other hand, it was found that the ethical and reflective dimensions of the evaluation allow teachers to make decisions to improve learning and their own evaluative practice, being dynamic dimensions of the evaluation, however, the studies on these dimensions are insufficient. which could be taken into consideration for future studies. Finally, the need to move towards a formative evaluation without leaving the summative evaluation is revealed so that the teacher has as its axis his reflective role, and the importance of an evaluative literacy for the understanding of paradigms, educational models and beliefs of evaluative practices and the planning, design of instruments and interpretation of the results derived from the learning assessment.
