Objective: Determine the relationship between academic stress and anxiety in nursing students at the University of Sciences and Humanities, Lima Norte, 2024. Material and method: The study is descriptive, non-experimental, correlational and transversal. The sample was made up of 262 nursing students located between the 3rd and 10th cycle of studies. Data were collected using the SISCO inventory for academic stress and the State-Trait inventory called IDARE for anxiety. Results: 76.3% of students present a moderate level of academic stress, 22.1% a severe level of stress and only 1.5% of students report a mild level. In relation to anxiety, 60.7% of students presented a high level of anxiety, 35.1% have a medium level and 4.2% of students report a low level. A positive and significant correlation was evident between academic stress and anxiety (Rho=0.146; p=0.018). Conclusions: There is a relationship between academic stress and anxiety in nursing students at the University of Sciences and Humanities. Nursing students presented a moderate level of academic stress and a high level of anxiety.
